Two Hideous Messes...

Mess #1-My sewing closet. Yeeks! Just look at this disaster! Horrors! How can I find anything? I can't. That is why my sewing project for this week is to Clean Out My Sewing Room. It is likely that I will find:

Fabric I have forgotten about.
Yarn I have forgotten about.
Seam gauges that I have lost.
The Lost Ark.
Mess #2. Do you see the pink mass in the top left hand corner? On top of the brown tissue? That would be my sweater. Why is it in a pile you ask?

Do let me tell you. You see, bad things happen to sweaters when the person who is knitting said sweater decides to drop a few pounds. The sweater doesn't get smaller when the person does. This is a bad thing. I sewed the sweater up and tried it on and there was much fussing and howling and threats to send said sweater to charity because...IT IS TOO BIG.

However, my wise sister told me to put it away for awhile and then take it apart and take it in and reset the sleeves. So that sweater is resting until I can look at again. Probably in March or so. In the meantime, I can't even bear to look at my knitting needles. So I'm crocheting a herd of dishcloths instead. Such is the life of the crafter.
